dark thoughts and bright tour dates
Lately, I've been finding it challenging to stay bright and cheerful. How's it for you?
Awww. Pooah Tronald Dump didn get his Noble Peas Awawd. Now he gonna make a wah-wah wit da Greenlads…
The world, like the US, is operating in a combination of disbelief, fear, and greed.
We still can’t believe this is happening.
Those who are in power are either afraid or greedy.
And all of the things we thought would “protect” us - in terms of our democratic system of law, checks and balances, have been stripped away by the above-mentioned fear and greed.
It’s hard to tell happy stories in the shadow of the gallows. Or maybe it’s just irresponsible. I don’t know.
On the one hand, I believe that we need good stories now more than ever.
On the other… the chaos and violence and insanity and brutality calls for action.
But random action without direction will produce nothing but more chaos.
So… I continue to read, think, talk with “them” and share stories that are full of hope and promise. (And a little darkness, too).
[Next week, back to Loki Ragnarok]
